Album Releases: Selena Gomez, Marc Anthony, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Plus More


There is only one more Tuesday in July and summer is flying by fast. Take the time to enjoy some of the month’s last few offerings. Drug Church to F*ck Buttons to Selena Gomez will have you thrashing, dancing, and singing along throughout this next week. Be sure to check out these new album releases.

Drug Church – Paul Walker. Their debut LP will help you get out of bed in the morning with its screamy, thrashy goodness. Via No Sleep Records.



Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros – Self-Titled. With their choir-like vocals and large sound, this album is perfect if you want to feel spiritual or commune with nature. From Community Music.



Selena Gomez – Stars Dance. Finally, Selena has dropped her first album and it has everything you can imagine, from dance to hip-hop, even some electro-punk. Via Hollywood Records.
  


F*ck Buttons – Slow Focus. Heavy drums and dark, distorted synth riffs will help you rage the night away. Via ATP Recordings.



Marc Anthony – 3.0. His first album in 3 years and his first salsa release in forever. Check it out on Sony Music Latin.

August 19, 2013 We heard fire victims cry for help –Residents   Ekene   Neighbours of a family that perished in an inferno in a building located in Shagari Estate, Lagos State, said they heard the victims’ cries for help. PUNCH Metro had reported last week Thursday that a family of five lost their lives after  fire engulfed their three-bedroom apartment in the early hours of Wednesday. The victims of the fire were the mother, Mrs Anwuzia, the children, Ekene 16, and Emeka 17, an aunt, identified only as Philomena, and another yet-to-be- identified man. It was learnt that the father was not at home when the incident occurred.
