APC repositions in Etsako Central
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Etsako Central Local Government Council Area of Edo State has been repositioned and put on winning ways in preparation for the forthcoming general elections.
This was announced at the weekend, by the leader of the party in the local government, Chief Brai Aloye, after all-stakeholders meeting held in Fugar, the administrative headquarters of the local government.
The meeting was attended by leaders, elders, elected and appointed political office holders of the APC in the area, including Chief M.Z. Naboya, leader of South Uneme; Alhaji Waziri Oshomah, leader of Ekperi; retired Commissioner of Police, Jacob Oshiomogho, leader of Avhianwu; House member, Johnson Oghuma, Council Chairman, Emmanuel Ozimede Momoh and Chairman of SUBEB, Chief Steve Alao. Chief Aloye noted that with the resolve of the various interest groups to embrace peace and work together for the good of the party and the people, the APC would sweep the votes in the February 2015 general elections.
He congratulated all members of the party for their commitment to the unity and stability of the party in the local government area and assured that the interest of every member would be protected in the scheme of things.
Chief Aloye particularly commended the Council chairman, Momoh as well as Edo State House of Assembly member, Johnson Oghuma, for their untiring efforts in seeking peace and reconciliation among members of the party, adding that a level playing field would be provided for all aspirants in the coming elections.
Also speaking, Oghuma restated his resolve to continue to provide qualitative and effective representation for the people and assured that he would continue to place premium on attracting projects which impact positively on the lives of the people in the local government.
Highlight of the meeting was the introduction of Mr. Harry Igbadumhe, former Personal Assistant (PA) to Chief Mike Oghiadomhe, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State and immediate past Chief of Staff to President Goodluck Jonathan, who dumped the PDP for APC with his supporters.
A 15-member planning committee headed by the Council chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Ozimede Momoh, was also constituted to plan a Mega Rally for the local government at which more than 3000 former members of the PDP in the local government would be formally received into the APC by the state governor, comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
